The Adopt-A-Smile campaign is an opportunity for individuals, groups, clubs, faith communities, businesses and civic organizations to adopt the comprehensive treatment of one patient in our program.
Just $250 provides application services, case management, 2-3 years of braces, assessment and support services for a low-income child suffering from severely crooked teeth and misaligned jaws.
Creative Ways to Adopt-A-Smile:
1. Ask your employer to make a donation or use an existing matching employee gift program.
2. Collect individual donations from your civic, social or faith groups by hosting a holiday Adopt-A-Smile campaign.
3. Transform a gift-giving holidays with friends and family into a silent auction that benefits SCL.
4. Create an online fundraising campaign through social networking sites like Change.org, MySpace, Twitter, Causes.com, and Facebook.
5. Transform existing company or group events into benefits for the SCL Adopt-A-Smile program (golf tournaments, runs/walks, auctions, etc.).
6. Ask friends/family to make a donation to SCL in honor of a birthday, wedding or holiday instead of traditional gifts.
7. Host a trivia or game night with proceeds benefiting SCL.
8. Encourage your teenagers to select SCL as the beneficiary of their dance-a-thon, lock-in, bake sale, sports tournament or carwash.
9. Ask a local restaurant or business to host a party for your staff and allocate a percent of the proceeds to benefit SCL.
10. Create a raffle contest among colleagues. The winner gets the prize, SCL gets the funds raised from the sale of raffle tickets.
11. Use Embrace Smiles as a source for all your promotional items. Think of your associates, neighbors, friends,or family who are involved in faith communities, schools, businesses, government, hospitals, or other community groups, needing items for special events, fundraisers, uniforms, trade shows, marketing programs or sports teams. A portion of the proceeds goes directly to SCL.
