How long does it take?
On average, it may take up to one year from the beginning of the application process, through the screening process, then approval by each Community Advisory Board. After an applicant has been approved, they are assigned to an orthodontist nearest them for treatment which averages 2 years plus post-treatment retainer check-ups.
What can I expect when I get braces?
You can expect to have a talented, caring orthodontist who will develop a specialized treatment plan. You are expected to maintain excellent oral hygiene during your treatment, to attend all of your appointments, to follow any special instructions from your orthodontist and to enjoy the benefits of a great, new smile for life! Well, it only lasts for life if you wear your retainers and keep brushing and flossing, but you get the picture.
