Smiles Change Lives (SCL) is a non-profit organization that provides access to orthodontic treatment for qualified children from families that cannot afford the full cost of braces. Based in Kansas City, MO, the program has treated more than 20,000 children since 1997, making it the nation’s leader in providing access to orthodontic care for qualified youth.
Several partnering orthodontists in the Las Vegas area have immediate openings to help kids needing braces.
If your child meets the following qualifications, we encourage you to apply for our donated braces program in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Qualifications:
- Be 7-18 years of age;
- Have good oral hygiene and no unfilled cavities;
- Have a moderate to severe need for braces;
- Not be wearing braces currently;
- Family must meet the SCL financial guidelines (varies by geographic region); and
- Be willing to pay the non-refundable $30 (USD) application fee and then once the child has been accepted and matched with a provider willing to treat, the non-refundable $650 (USD) required financial investment (per child).

Orthodontic treatment is available in 2024 for families that qualify. Openings will go fast. Once filled, a waiting list will be established.
Cities included in the Las Vegas area include Summerlin, Enterprise, Boulder City, Henderson, Whitney, Paradise, and North Las Vegas to name a few.
New providers are added in an ongoing basis as the need arises.
Smiles Change Lives works with the AAO (American Association of Orthodontists), and has been endorsed as the preferred access to care program by several state orthodontic associations.
