How the SCL Video Contest works
Amazon gift cards to the best video in the following three categories:
Current SCL Participants – those currently wearing braces
1st place – $100
2nd place – $50
3rd place – $25
SCL Alumni – those who have completed treatment
1st place – $100
2nd place – $50
3rd place – $25
Parents of an SCL participant (past or present)
1st place – $100
2nd place – $50
3rd place – $25
Contest runs until February 6, 2025
Winners to be announce on Valentine’s Day, February 14th.
We want to hear your story – your experience. Here are some topics and ideas to get you started:
Participants and Alumni:
“What was it like before you got braces?”
“Why did you want braces?”
“What has getting braces meant for you?”
“How has your life changed since getting braces?”
“Who is/was your doctor? Tell us about your experience.”
Parents:
“What made you look for assistance?
“How did you first learn about the SCL program?”
“How was your experience?” (What did you like most about SCL?)
“Would you recommend SCL to others you know are struggling?”
Requirements:
Video must be 2 – 4 minutes long
Tips for getting the best result:

- Quiet room or setting
- Keep distracting things out of the background
- Light source in front of you, not behind you. (Do not sit or stand in front of a bright window)
- Use a cell phone (turn horizontal to record) or anything in a digital format
- Tripod would offer stability and eliminate shaking
- Have fun; be creative!

Best format to use – MP4 if possible
Upload your video to a cloud storage solution (Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive) and email a link to info@smileschangelives.org.
