Volunteering twice a week since August of 2015, Winfred continues to be a most dedicated SCL volunteer. Her attention to detail is second to none and her years of professional experience in the information technology industry has been invaluable to the SCL staff. Winfred’s cheerful, positive attitude and passion for giving back to the community is contagious, and we always look forward to working with her. In her previous job, the good relationships she formed with her clients and coworkers resulted in her earning the employee of the month award in the IT department.

“What compelled me to volunteer for SCL is the fact that I believe the best way to feel hopeful is to get up and do something for someone else in need. SCL provides children the hope they need for their future. For that reason, I am proud to be a volunteer at SCL.
I have been in Information Technology industry for several years and most of my experience has been working in database administration, systems analysis & design, and network management. I love that I get to work with different software and create things using my skill set. One of my best strengths is my attention to detail. When I set out to work on a task or project, I always make sure it gets done accurately and on time. My work goals in life are to learn new skills, network better and attend networking events.
In my personal time I enjoy reading, researching, music, travel, community activities and helping others.
My experience at SCL has been unique in that my work has a direct impact on children in need of a smile and it has given me the chance to meet and connect with great people with similar passions of making this world a better place.”
